Arau, June 10 - The Movement Control Order, which began on March 18, is now in the phase of recovery from June 10, 2020, referred to as the CPPP until August 31, 2020, with some standard operating procedures (SOPs) loosening. However, new normalities are still being pursued to ensure that COVID19 is no longer contagious and that recovery in many respects has been smooth.

During this time, students and colleges are still not allowed by the government to attend face-to-face learning except for postgraduate research students returning to campus starting July 1, thus, the online learning process continues to replace face-to-face meetings with teachers and their respective lecturers.

This has led to some students having difficulty with many personal items such as laptops, work assignments and vehicles left behind in residential colleges after the CPP was announced by the government. As such, taking into account factors related to UniMAP management also issued a notice to facilitate the affairs of students who wish to return to residential college / housing complex to retrieve their personal belongings including vehicles left before returning home.

Vice President of Student Affairs and Alumni (HEPA) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mohd Foad Sakdan said the research and discussion conducted by the university's management with the Student Housing Center had allowed students in certain categories to return to college. He said there were three categories of students - category 1 was for final year students & students who would attend industrial training, category 2 was for students 1.2 and 3, while category 3 was for students who would take short and extra semester.

“However, students are required to apply online through https://osi.unimap.edu.my which will be open from today (June 10) until June 14, 2020 and they can check the status of application approval from June 11 to 15 June 2020 while their movements also follow the date divided into seven zones, ”he said in a statement, here, today. He added that the Student Housing Center led by Dr Hirwan Jasbir Jaafar is preparing to ensure that students comply with the SOP Students Back to UniMAP Residential Colleges and Housing Complex during the period from June 15 to July 3, 2020.
